Let’s go ahead and talk about the elephant in the room – “everyday.” I put everyday in quotation marks for a few reasons. First, I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t wear makeup everyday. I am not about that life, haha! Second, my everyday makeup routine is kind of glam if you asked me. I’ve never been a concealer and mascara kind of a gal. If I’m going to put makeup on, I’m going to go all in. So my “everyday” makeup is a little glam. That’s just the way that the cookie crumbles over here. I hope that y’all enjoy and maybe even find some new products to try!
Base
So, starting with my base, I love this Soap and Glory Primer. I saw Casey Holmes, who also has oily skin, talk about this years ago and after being disappointed time and time again by primers with my oily skin I decided to try it and I’m so glad that I did! It’s affordable and actually makes a difference in the way that my makeup lasts throughout the day. I’ve also been using the rest of these base products for over a year. The Covergirl TruMatch Foundation wears really well and has a pretty great shade range with a few different undertones. I really like the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, but I’ve heard of many different dupes. Now, this Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is a MUST! This is one of the products that I will always splurge on because I believe that it beats out all of the drugstore products. There are definitely drugstore products that are close, but none are a match.
Face
This Casey Holmes x Physicians Formula Palette is a one stop shop for my face makeup. It has the bronzer, blush, and the highlighter that I use on a daily basis inside. You can buy the bronzer and blush separately, but the highlighter is exclusive to the palette. As you can see, I exclusively use Physicians Formula products on my face. I think that they’re amazing quality and the amount that you get is generous. I’ve also linked each product separately. The highlighter that I linked I use as well underneath my brow.
Eyes
I’m pretty basic when it comes to my eyes. I use my concealer and translucent powder to prime them and use one palette to get it all done. This Morphe 35o palette has my base shade, transition, crease color, and a glitter to get my eye look done. Now, I do own multiple eyeshadow palettes that I love, but this one is probably my most reached for. I’m currently using the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara and I really like it, but I rarely use the same mascara. I pretty much only use high end mascaras, but that’s because I only pick them up when Ulta is having some sort of a 50% off sale. With that, I always have a back up and something new to try out. I also use the Anastasia Brow Wiz to fill in my brows. I’ll use the L’Oreal Brow Stylist if I run out and can’t make it to Ulta, but I prefer the Brow Wiz.
Brushes/Tools
I am partial to the Beauty Blender, but I also use the Real Techniques Sponge in my routine. I use the Beauty Blender for my foundation and concealer application and I use the Real Techniques Sponge for my under eye powder when I “bake” my concealer. I like Real Techniques makeup brushes for face makeup and Morphe brushes for eye makeup. I’ve linked the ones that I use in my daily routine.
