Hey friends! I’m Tamela. In 2017, I began a new life in a new state. I hadn’t made any friends yet, and I found myself watching YouTube videos to pass the time. Those videos inspired me to start a channel of my own to empower women to find style and confidence at any size. As a result, TamelaD was born.
You all really supported my channel in a big way, and that pushed me to do more! So…I created this blog as a safe space to share fashion, lifestyle, and beauty ideas that fill my heart with joy in hopes that you can find a spark for your own imagination and freedom. While it began as a hobby, it has become much more. It is my passion. I’m so grateful for the women that share with me how my blog posts or videos have changed their lives. But, guess what? You’ve changed mine too, and for that I thank you.
Since you have shared so much with me, I’d like to share more about myself with you. In addition to creating content for the channel and this blog, I also own and operate The Social Icing Virtual Studio. The Social Icing is a virtual studio for bloggers and influencers who want to scale their business and get more of their time back. When I’m not working, I’m spoiling my adorable pup, making floral arrangements, collecting sweatshirts, or sharpening my skills as a McDonald’s Coke aficionado.

FAQ’s
How old are you?
Haven’t you been taught never to ask a woman her age?! If you must know, I’m in my mid-20s. That’s all you’ll get out of me.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in South Louisiana, but now I’m a sweet Georgia peach.
Did you go to college? If you did, what was your major?
Yes, I majored in Business Administration. I’ve got the trauma from my accounting courses to prove it!
How tall and what size are you?
I am 5’7” and I wear a 22/3x. I have a long torso and short legs, so that usually causes me to buy short/petite lengths.
What are some of your favorite retailers to shop?
This is a hard one because I’ve found so many great ones over the years! My top five, in no particular order, are Walmart, Eloquii, Torrid, Target, and Amazon. An honorable mention goes to Abercrombie since they only carry denim in my size, but it’s my favorite place to get jeans.
What are your guilty pleasures?
No judgment…reality TV…specifically Sister Wives. I know, I know. I have been watching it since I was in high school though, so there’s no stopping now.
